The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has issued a warning regarding power outages in several areas across the country on Sunday, May 26.

In a statement released on Saturday evening, the company stated that the outages are due to maintenance work being carried out on the equipment.

They mentioned that some areas in five counties in Kenya will experience power interruptions between 7 AM and 5 PM. The affected counties are Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Kisii, Mombasa, and Kilifi.

In Nairobi County, certain parts of the Westlands neighborhood will be affected by power outages between 9 AM and 5 PM.

The Sinendet substation in Uasin Gishu County will experience power interruptions between 10 AM and 5 PM.

Some parts of Kisii town in Kisii County will be without power between 7:20 AM and 5:20 PM.

Certain areas of Ganjoni and Kizingo in Mombasa County will be affected by power outages between 8 AM and 5 PM.

Meanwhile, some parts of Mtwapa and Kanamai areas in Kilifi County will also experience power interruptions.
