A portion of residents in Kajiado and Uasin Gishu counties will experience power outages this Sunday for up to eight hours due to scheduled maintenance work by Kenya Power engineers.

In a public notice released on Saturday night, Kenya Power announced that the planned interruptions would impact customers in Ngong, Kibiko, and Ngong Vet areas in Kajiado County.

The power outage in Kajiado County is scheduled from 9am to 5pm and will affect various areas and establishments, including Oloolaiser High School, Kibiko, Kimuka, Oloshoibor, Saikeri, Ngong Town, Ngong Hills Milimani, KenGen, and Civil Aviation. Other affected areas include Zambia, Scheme 305, Elpaso, Olepolos, Juanco Vetfarm, Kangawa, Kerarapon, Bulbul Bondeni, Masai Road, Dedan Rhino Lekkurukki, and Summer Drive. Additionally, residents and businesses in Kahara Centre, Muthaiga, Olkeri, Ololua SGR, parts of Gataka, Ololua DC, Imani, and adjacent areas will experience the outage.

In Uasin Gishu County, areas along Kapsoya Centre will experience power interruption from 9.30am to 5pm. This will affect Kapsoya centre, Kapsoya Mariakani, Kapsoya Secondary school, and nearby areas.
