Politician Wavinya Ndeti has shared how she dealt with the death of her husband.

Dolamu Henry Oduwole passed on at Nairobi Hospital where he had been admitted after his blood pressure shot up drastically in 2016.

The politician shared her experience to encourage the family of Serah Mutile, who was the mother-in-law of Machakos County Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi

"It is not easy losing a partner. Those who haven't lost a partner would not understand. As you know me I was left when I was very young. I was mad at God as I asked him why he took my husband at such a young age. I lost my husband to colon cancer.

I opened the Bible and was taken to Jeremiah. Just know from today, that a widow is not just a widow. I believe God will stand there for you and show you the way. Don't start asking questions. God will give you peace."

To the kids?

"For the children, it's not easy losing a parent. Be strong when you want to cry lock yourself in a room and cry. Don't cry in front of your children. When you are in front of your kids, you'll also make them get depressed. I used to close myself in my room and cry because you have to get it out of your system."

She is a mother of three.
