The nation's first daughter, Charlene Ruto is among the 100 most influential women in Africa in 2023, according to a report published in the Nation.afrika magazine.

According to the report, President Ruto's daughter is among only 9 women from Kenya who managed to make it to the list of 100 women across Africa.

The report says that Charlene Ruto made it to the list of influential people in Africa thanks to her Smachs Foundation, a foundation that focuses more on youth issues and does not aim to make a profit from its activities.

Smachs Foundation aims to lead young people to be at the forefront of the fight against hunger and climate change in Kenya.

Other Kenyan women on the list include the minister of environment Soipan Tuya, the femaleairline pilot, Irene Koki Mutungi, the deputy secretary of the UN Global Compact, Sanda Ojiambo.

Others include Chief Justice Martha Koome, Elizabeth Wathuti who is an environmental activist, Alice Wairimu Nderitu who is an advisor against genocide in the UN organization, Caroline Wanga who is the CEO of Essence Ventures and Racey Muchilwa - Head of Novartis Sub-Saharan Africa.
