KPLC: The 10 counties that will be affected by power outages on Thursday

• In Machakos county, Mlolongo town and parts of Sabaki, Ilpolosat and Konza areas will be affected by the planned power outage between three in the morning and five in the evening.

The Kenya Electricity Lighting Company (KPLC) has warned of power outages in several areas in the country on Thursday, December 14.

In a statement on Wednesday evening, the company announced that some areas of ten counties in Kenya will be without electricity between three in the morning and five in the evening.

The counties that will be affected include Machakos, Kajiado, Uasin Gishu, Nyeri, Embu, Nandi, Kisii, Kiambu, Migori and Kilifi.

In Machakos county, Mlolongo town and parts of Sabaki, Ilpolosat and Konza areas will be affected by the planned power outage between three in the morning and five in the evening.

Parts of Kiserian area in Kajiado County will be without electricity between three in the morning and five in the evening.

In Uasin Gishu county, parts of Cheplaskei and Kabiyet areas will be affected by power outages between three in the morning and five in the evening.

Many parts of Nyeri county will also be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and five in the evening.

Among the areas of Nyeri that will be affected are Tetu, Kigogoini, Wandumbi, Chaka, Karundas, Chinga and Ruruguti.

In Embu County, the PI Oriental Hotel area will be without electricity between three in the morning and ten in the afternoon.

Parts of Koisolik and Kurgung areas in Nandi county will also be without electricity between 4 am and 1 pm.

In Kisii County, the areas that will be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and ten in the afternoon include Ogembo and Kenyenya.

Meanwhile, Kegonga and Maeta areas in Migori county will also be affected. In Kiambu county, parts of BTL, Prisons, Superfoam, MKU, Bidco, Witeithie and Bob Harries Road areas will also be affected by power cuts between three in the morning and five in the evening.

Parts of Kilifi town in the Coast region will also lack electricity between three in the morning and five in the evening.
