Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has called for the immediate firing of a Kanjo lady who allegedly spilled a bucket of peanuts that a young man was hawking in the streets of Nairobi.
The incident enraged Kenyans as the young man was seen sobbing uncontrollably as he looked down at his spilled means of livelihood.
In the video highlighting the aftermath of what had transpired, the helpless young man was seen crying while being held by county officers.
A crowd that had gathered following the altercation was seen criticizing the action of the county official for her lack of compassion for the young man.
The video has since then gone viral and politician Karen Nyamu had a few things to say in regards to it.
Calling upon Governor Sakaja's intervention the mother of 3 noted that the Kanjo lady ought to be fired immediately.
"Huyu Kanjo afutwe on the spot (that city council officer should be fired)!" Started off an enraged Karen Nyamu.
The senator went on to highlight that the uniformed officer should be used to serve as a lesson to others who abuse their power and treat fellow citizens like they are lesser human beings.
Karen argued that what the lady had done was inhumane as she called upon Nairobi governor Sakaja to intervene.
"Afutwe, ili awe funzo kwa wale Kanjo wana roho ya unyama @ Johnson Sakaja (she should be fired so that that can be a lesson to other city council officers who have inhumane cold hearts)," the last of Karen Nyamu's Instagram post read.
Comedian/ digital content creator Eric Omondi also voiced his displeasure with the Kanjo's actions as he promised to look for and help the young man get on his feet.
"If they shed, we pick up...If they tear down, we build!!! I am looking for this boy, if you have his number, please comment or DM me. But remember OUR TIME IS COMING!!!!!” Omondi said.
