A 19-year-old plumber was electrocuted as he drilled holes for plumbing at a construction site in Valley Arcade area, Nairobi.

The body of Joash Kiprotich was found moments after the electrocution on Wednesday evening, police said.

Other workers at the site said he had been assigned to drill holes for plumbing at a construction site when he touched a live naked wire that killed him.

Police were called to the scene and took the body to the mortuary.

They said they are investigating the death.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the sudden death of a Congolese national at a car wash site in Mihango, Nairobi.

Ndabarishe Timotheo, 20, collapsed as he hawked food at the car wash and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The cause of the death is yet to be known and police say they are investigating the incident.

The body was moved to the mortuary.

And a waiter was found dead at his workplace in Westlands, Nairobi.

Police say they are investigating how and why the waiter died.

Ronald Ombaso was found dead at the main waiter tap while unconscious.

Police said the body had a blunt physical injury on the back side of the head suspected to have emanated from him falling down backwards.

They, however, said they are investigating the death to establish if he fell or was pushed there.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.
