PSC announces recruitment of 8000 interns

For the fiscal year 2023/2024, the Public Service Commission has announced the hiring of 8000 interns.

PSC stated in a Public Announcement on Tuesday that interns are being sought for government ministries, departments, and agencies.

"Public Service Commission is pleased to announce the recruitment of 8000 interns under the Public Service Internship Programme Cohort 6," they said.

They stated that an applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, have graduated no earlier than 2017, and be computer literate.

According to the commission, interns would complete duties mutually agreed upon and assigned by the supervisors during their internship.

They will also document necessary talents and actively participate in program-specific responsibilities.

PSC said the internship will take 12 months which is non-renewable.

"The interns will be paid a stipend at a rate determined by the government. On successful completion of the internship program they will be awarded certificates," PSC said.

"Interested applicants are requested to make their applications through the commission's job portal."
