Pastor Ezekiel Odero said that he will establish a new New Life church location in Kitengela, Kajiado County. The church will serve Nairobi citizens, claims Ezekiel.

In a press conference at the Jacaranda grounds, where he is leading a crusade, Odero said that they had purchased a 51-acre plot of land on which they are constructing a church that will open in August.

He said he loved Kenya and that the purpose of this mission was to win souls for Christ, declining to discuss his present problems with the government.

Danstan Omari and Cliff Ombeta, Odero's attorneys, stood on each side of him.

Omari has urged the presidential task force and all other governmental organizations to travel to Mavueni and participate in this crusade in order to observe New Life in action.

He asserted that Odero has nothing to conceal and urged them to attend his church to learn more about him.

Money laundering and radicalizing his followers are two things the pastor is under investigation for.

He is free on bond until police finish their investigations, and he has a monthly police report requirement.

The announcement on the new church comes a few days after Pastor Ezekiel opened a new branch in Mosocho, Kisii county as he expands his wings for evangelism.

Ezekiel said owners of the land agreed to merge and sell the big parcel to the church.

"This is an area that is densely populated and you don't expect it to be that easy to get a piece of land. We are still in the process of doing the transfers but we have already paid and we thank God for our peace-loving people," Odero told reporters.
