"As an organization, we have taken note with great concern, the respectful feedback and detailed observations shared by fans. We acknowledge that key elements of the show fell short of meeting the standards leading to disappointment amongst music fans who attended the concert.

"To this end, we have engaged our event organization partner, the Radio Africa Group, with a view of identifying the root cause of the issues presented," Stanbic said.

They further assured fans that they are committed to supporting the creative industry.

"We want to provide assurance that a comprehensive investigation is underway, and an events report will be shared with the sponsors to help inform the organization of future events to ensure that the experience of all attendees meets the expected high standards.

"Our commitment to supporting the development of the creative industry, encouraging partnerships, and molding a unique cultural identity through social interactions remains strong," the statement concluded.

On June 13, 2023, the Radio Africa Events team also issued a statement addressing concerns raised by party-goers.

First and foremost, we want to acknowledge the incredible experience we shared last year. The overwhelming success of that concert motivated us to curate and bring an even more remarkable event this year.

We however sincerely apologize for falling short of your expectations with regards particularly to the sound quality and layout in the General Arena. We acknowledge it was a concert of two parts.

We understand the disappointment and frustration you may have felt, and we want to assure you that we take your feedback seriously," the Radio Africa Events statement said.
