A Senate committee probing the mysterious cult deaths in Kilifi will on Wednesday question Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and Attorney General Justin Muturi.
The two will be the first to appear before the ad hoc committee that has lined up several people and groups for questioning as it seeks to get to the bottom of the deaths.
This comes at a time where 133 bodies have so far been discovered from Shakahola.
The victims are suspected to be followers of preacher Paul Nthenge Mackenzie who is now in police custody.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki who officially launched the exhumation exercise said there were more graves after they identified 20 mass graves in the forest.
In the Daily Brief, the Regional Commissioner said they managed to rescue five people which brings to 68 those who have been rescued since the operation started.
“We have a number of things going on, there are search and rescue teams that are working day and night. We have investigations going on and of course, we have phase two of exhumations which began on Tuesday,” she said.
Onyancha said at least 566 people have reported their relatives are missing.
“Even as we take people to the hospital and for psychosocial support, because that is what is majorly going on, we have been able to reunite 14 victims to their families so far,” she said.
