The government will replace Huduma's Namba with a Unique personal Identifier Principal  Secretary of state department of Immigration and citizen service Julius Bitok has said.

"The Huduma Namba did not work out but we are going to replace it with Unique Personal Identifier if a child is born he will use that number from his or her birth until his demise," he said.

He said the service will be put in the E-citizen portal. Ambassador Bitok urged Kenyans to report deaths and births so that the government can be able to plan for its population.

Bitok spoke on Friday afternoon in Kaguru, South Imenti where he commissioned an office of civil registration services.

He was accompanied by MPS Shadrack Mwiti (South Imenti) Mpuru Aburi (Tigania East) Kirima Nguchine (Tigania West) John Paul Mwirigi ( Igembe South) among other leaders.

Bitok said only 55 percent of Kenyans register births leading to a backlog of court cases due to succession matters. He said it's important to register both birth and deaths.

"Nowadays children cannot go to school without birth certificates and land cannot be subdivided if the holder of the title deed is dead," Bitok said.

Bitok said Ruto's government is planning to digitise the issuance of birth and death certificates so that Kenyans can be able to get them in a day.

He urged the residents in South Imenti to use the new office to increase the number of those who register the two.

"I am urging the chiefs and their assistance to help us even if they have relatives who died in Shakahola or anywhere else," he said.

MPs who were present castigated Azimio Leader Raila Odinga for his demonstration.

South Imenti MP Shadrack Mwiti who was elected on the Jubilee ticket said he supports the Jubilee faction led by Kanini Kega (EALA MP) and Sabina Chege (Nominated).

Mwiti said what is important is for his residents to get development goodies from the government.

Mwiti said Raila should accept he lost and move on.

John Paul Mwirigi ( Igembe South) urged President William Ruto to withdraw Bipartisan talks if the Azimio leader continue with his demos in the coming week.

Dorothy Muthoni Ikiara (nominated MP) dared Raila Odinga to try his demos in Meru so that he can know Meru is behind Ruto solidly. Aburi said Raila Odinga is hypocritical in his demands.

Moses Kirima (Central Imenti) said nothing meaningful came from Handshake between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Aburi said that despite the teaming up of Raila and Uhuru President William Ruto managed to trounce Raila in the polls.

"I was elected on my party NoPeu ticket and was supporting Azimio but I quit and joined President William Ruto," Aburi said.
