Azimio demos: Protesters block roads, light bonfire in Kisumu

• Even though there are no protestors in the streets, various groups of people are seen sitting in different areas as they group themselves before matching on the streets.

Roads were blocked by opposition supporters in Kisumu County who geared up to demonstrate against the government.

Various businesses remained closed within the Lakeside city with the uncertainty of what might follow.

At Kibuye Market, most stalls remained empty as people kept away from their workplaces in anticipation of the demos.

There was also minimal movement in Kisumu streets.

There is also a heavy presence of police officers in the city.

Raila Odinga said the Azimio anti-government protests will go on despite the police declaration the move had been banned and is illegal.
