Reports doing rounds is that an air hostess identified as Betty is among those who were fasting in Shakahola, which is owned by Pastor Mackenzie.

Sources indicate that Betty was stressed after her son allegedly died while fasting at Mackenzie's farm in Shakahola.

So far 67 bodies have been recovered. More than 100 have also been termed missing by their families. Betty was working in Qatar, leaving her son Jason back in Kenya.

The young boy was living with his grandparents. After receiving the news of her son's death, Betty reportedly came for the burial but was never seen again.

It is said that before her disappearance, she deleted all her social posts and sold all her belongings before booking a one-way flight and disappearing in Malindi.

Her sister who reportedly resides in Umoja, Nairobi says that before she left, Betty wrote an emotional letter to her husband inferring that she might never return again.

She then left with the children and headed to Malindi.  A friend had apparently told her that they were headed to meet Jesus on the 8th of April, so they had to leave on the 7th.

It is still not clear whether Betty is alive or not. Families are yet to start identifying the 67 bodies that have so far been identified.
