Suba North Member of Parliament Millie Odhiambo Mabona has issued a strong warning to men who distribute indecent images of women.

Speaking during a parliamentary session, Mrs. Odhiambo asked the DCI to make an effort to arrest people involved in such acts.

Odhiambo said she was very angry with the recent case involving CAS Millicent Omanga and wanted the law to be amended so that severe punishments will be given to people who distribute indecent images of women.

"I don't support the death penalty, but I wish I did. If I were in favour of the death penalty, I would support the death penalty for people like that," she said.

But because I don't support the death penalty, I think we need to increase the sentence to life imprisonment for such people," the ODM Member of Parliament wanted other leaders in Parliament to support the bill for severe punishment for those suspected of such acts.

She added that people should consider the consequences of their actions before taking action to distribute such images. "At least if you don't care about the character, feel sorry for his children," he said.

In Kenya, distributing nude photos is a crime and can be punished with two years imprisonment or a fine of up to two hundred thousand shillings.
