A teenage boy is on the run after he allegedly stabbed and killed his father in a domestic quarrel in Mwiki area, Nairobi.

The boy is wanted by police for grilling following the death of his 49-year-old stepfather.

The man was rushed to Mwiki Modern Hospital on Tuesday evening with stab wounds in the chest.

Doctors at the facility referred him to St Francis Hospital after realizing the wounds were deep and serious where he succumbed.

Police were later called to the hospital and proceeded to an apartment where the deceased lived with the suspected assailant.

Nairobi police boss Adamson Bungei said they had established from the neighbor the boy and slain father had a quarrel in the house before it turned physical and fatal.

Police established there were bloodstains in the house and spilt on the utensils and window panes. A television set and a table were also broken.

This indicated there was a struggle in the house, which led to death.

The neighbours told police Githaiga had been quarrelling with the boy before the fight broke out.

The reason for the fight was not immediately established, as it was only the two who were in the house.

The missing teenager is a Form three student at a local school.

Police said they recovered the killer weapon from the house and kept it as evidence in the probe.

In Nairobi’s Eastleigh area, a man was Tuesday stabbed and killed in a fight.

The deceased was identified as Mohamed Bulle Jamah, 21.

Police said his body was found on Jam Street with stab wounds in the back.

Bungei said they had been informed an assailant known to the deceased committed the crime following a quarrel.

The assailant escaped the scene and efforts to trace him are ongoing.

Police processed the scene and allowed the friends to take the body to a local mosque for a planned interment even as the hunt for the suspect identified as only Kadafi goes on.

The motive of the incident is yet to be known.
