Saboti MP Caleb Amisi now says that he will lead the Azimio la Umoja side in rejecting all proposals by President William Ruto, after a truce with Raila Odinga.

Speaking on Monday, Amisi insisted that Ruto is not a man to be trusted because he lied to millions of desperate hustlers.

According to the MP, President Ruto has never believed in reforms, and because of this, he will say a big no to his proposals.

"On Thursday, I will lead Azimio in rejecting all Ruto proposals. You can't trust that man. If he lied to millions of desperate hustlers, he would lie to anybody anytime. He has never believed in reforms, to him, the end justifies the means. Big No!" Amisi tweeted.

He was reacting to an agreement by Ruto and Raila to give dialogue a chance, which saw the opposition call off their weekly protests.

Ruto was first to blink after announcing that he had given into the opposition's demand that they be included in the IEBC Commissioners hiring process.

He referred the process back to parliament asking his allies to come up with a bipartisan approach that will include MPs from Raila's side.

"I have carefully listened to the issues raised by my friend, the Honourable Raila Odinga in times like this, it is not about who is right or who is wrong like Winston Churchill said, I dare say, like, quote, courage is what it takes to stand up and speak," Ruto said.

In response, the Azimio side led by Raila listed conditions that will form the basis of the dialogue they are expected to hold.

He asked for the release of all protesters arrested during demos, withdrawal of court cases Azimio supporters and allies are facing over demos, reinstatement of the four IEBC Commissioners who resigned and create a committee with strict deadlines to dissolve the crisis facing the country.

Raila insisted that failure to do this in the next one week, the protests will return.
