Ex- Nation Media Group journalist Leonard Ndungu has been nominated for a plum job with the Murang'a County government.
Guchu was on Thursday, March 29, nominated to head the communication docket in Murang'a County.
The nomination was made by the current governor Irungu Kangata.
If approved by the Murang'a County assembly, Ndung'u will also be tasked with helping in marketing the County and popularising its initiatives.
Ndung'u is set to be vetted by the county assembly on Thursday, April 6.
According to the notice, the vetting of other nominees will be done on April 5 and April 6, and thereafter the reports will be tabled before the House for approval.
Before his nomination, Ndung'u worked as a Saturday Nation editor. He was a specialized political and parliamentary affairs editor.
Ndung'u also served as Nation Media's regional editor based in Nyeri.
The position will put him at the helm of critical communications and information from Murang'a County to the electorates and investors.
