Rally Driver Maxine Wahome now claims that the late Asad Khan was the one who attacked her and, in the process, hurt himself leading to his death.

In an affidavit filed in court, Wahome says that on December 12 last year, Khan woke her up on the morning of December 12 last year and ordered her to leave his house.

“That, in the process, he attacked me and I took refuge at the balcony of the apartment where the deceased attempted to break the door using his feet,” the affidavit reads

She further claims that Khan thereafter injured himself on the balcony door window panes and took himself to the hospital.

Wahome says that she was advised by her parents not to leave the house and wait for the police.

When the police arrived, they arrested her owing to the incident that occurred at Preston Court where she resided with the late Khan

She has pleaded with the court to release her on bail pending trial committing that she shall not abscond the Court’s jurisdiction and will attend Court at all times without fail.

She says that she shall not intimidate, threaten or otherwise interfere with any witnesses lined up to testify against her in the matter.

“I am a rally driver by profession, however, owing to the nature of the charges filed against me, I am unable to continue pursuing my career. I therefore humbly request to be granted reasonable bail terms,” reads court papers.
