The former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i will be charged with conspiracy to commit a felony and publication of false information, contrary to Section 23 of the Computer Misuse and Cyber Crimes Act of 2018 among other offences.

This is in regard to the claims that his Karen home was raided last month.

In a cautionary statement circulating online, DCI have stated two counts disclosing what they intend to charge him

The statement states that Matiang'i intended to cause panic and chaos at his Karen home and had been raided by a battalion of police officers intended to arrest him.

"This is a fact you knew to be wrong," the statement reads.

He maintained that he never talked to any public officials regarding the issue.
