• The school B.O.M chairman Joel Chemiron chaired a full board meeting that was attended by police and commissioner.

Chemase Secondary School has been closed down indefinitely by the government following the rising tension at the institution.

Nandi county commissioner Herman Shiambi said the move to send 350 students was occasioned by the death of a Form 1 student.

The death of Kelvin Kiptanui,16, at Nandi-hills level 4 hospital following an alleged punishment by two teachers, sparked tension at the school.
