Tanzanian artiste Mavokali is rumoured to be the one that has been signed by Diamond Platnumz under his record label WCB.

The 'Mapopopopo' hitmaker has broken his silence on the matter.

In an exclusive interview with Wasafi Media, he opted not to clarify whether he is the one signed to WCB Wasafi or not.

"For that particular question, I will have to say no comment."

He continued;

"What I have done is a dream come true. People should just wait. What is in secret sometimes is a blessing. I just want to work hard."

Mavokali deleted all his social media posts once the rumours of being signed by the singer came out.

"I just decided to delete the posts. There are new things that have come with rules and I need to be able to follow them."

So has Mavokali joined WCB?

"I am just asking my fans to pray for me," he said.

Diamond had shared a part of the contract that he had sealed a deal with a new artiste.

In his label, Diamond has signed Mbosso, Zuchu, Lavalava who has rarely hit the spotlight and Queen Darleen who has in the recent past completely gone silent.

Rayvanny recently left the label after Harmonize. Before then, Rich Mavoko had also parted ways with the singer's label.

Singer Nandy revealed Diamond had wanted to sign her before she joined a singing competition that went own in Nigeria.

"No, I have never been refused nor turned down by any record label. Never ever, if I am being honest...."

"The only time something almost like that happened... there is this one time that this record label, Wasafi Records was to sign me but then I was doing a show, Tecno on The Stage and when I can back I found myself signed to a different record label THT so I couldn't sign with them.

At first, I was supposed to be signed to Wasafi Records but then I found myself on THT.

After that, a lot of record labels did approach me but I never signed with either of them because there is a specific level as an artist I wanted to get to...."
