Details about Fridah Kamuyu who drowned with her married lover in a Juja dam are slowly emerging.

The man was buried Friday, January 27 in Nyeri. Fridah will be buried next week Wednesday, February 1.

Fridah Kamuyu was 22. Her family has described her as liable and of a bubbly character. She had been with Titus Maian, the married man for three months.

She graduated from Uzuri Insitute in Thika, Kiambu county. Pictures of her in a graduation gown were shared by her sister Mary Kamuyu on TikTok -below.

She graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality on November 22, 2022. She lived in a hostel in Kiambu, and rarely communicated with family.

Fridah was the second-born child. She had three other siblings. Her parents live in Dagorettu, Nairobi.

According to the Standard Newspaper, Fridah and Titus met for a few drinks in Ruiru before proceeding to Juja where they were discovered dead.

The Standard continued to say that police established that between 1 pm and 5 pm on the fateful day, Gikonyo and Kamuyu were drinking at an entertainment joint in Ruiru before driving to Titanic Dam in Murera Ward at around 5 pm.

A friend of the man gave insights into Maina's secret life.

The A report filed at the Juja Police Station by one Mwangi, who introduced himself as Maina Gikonyo’s friend, said on January 17 daytime, Gikonyo told him that he was going to Ruiru to meet his girlfriend.

According to Mwangi, Gikonyo had two partners – one who lives at Kahawa West, and another at Makongeni Estate in Thika Town, Kiambu County.

“He only told me that he was going to meet his lover, and that we’ll talk later that day,” said Mwangi.
