List of Uhuru's appointees sent home by President Ruto

President William Ruto has made several management changes to key State Corporations.

In the changes, Ruto has sent home people who had been appointed by Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In the changes, Ruto has revoked the appointment of Brig. (Rtd.) David Azangu Ngaira as the chairperson of the Board of Directors of Kenya Electricity Transmission Company Limited and appointed Abdi Bare Duale to replace him.

Duale served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Revenue Authority appointed by former Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury Henry Rotich in 2017.

He was also the chairman of the Kenya Leather Development Council

In a Gazette notice dated January 20, Duale will assume office with immediate effect for three years.

Also sent home is Agnes Pareiyo who was the chairperson of the Anti-Female Genital Mutilation Board and has been replaced by Surumipto Korema.

Korema will be in the office for six years.

Pareiyo is currently the  MP for Narok North making history as its first-ever female MP.

A member of the Jubilee party,  Pareiyo had been appointed to the board by retired President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ruto has also revoked the appointment of James Mandere Rogers Atebe as the chairperson of the  Pharmacy and Poisons Board and replaced him with Charles Githinji.

Githinji will serve for three years.

The Pharmacy and Poisons Board is the Drug Regulatory Authority established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act, Chapter 244 of the Laws of Kenya.

The Board regulates the Practice of Pharmacy and the Manufacture and Trade of drugs and poisons.

Other appointments include Sophy Nekoye who will be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Youth Advisory Board, for three years with immediate effect.

The President has also appointed Fatma Bakari to be the Non-Executive chairperson of the Youth Enterprise Development Fund Board, for three years.

Phillip Mong’ony has been appointed as the chairperson of the State Corporations Advisory Committee with immediate effect.
