Gachagua, Karua among most searched people in 2022

The two participated in a fiery debate in the lead up to the just concluded elections

Rigathi Gachagua, the deputy president and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua have topped the list of most searched personalities in 2022. 

In a list released by Google, Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah came in third, followed by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja. 

Others were, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, former IEBC vice chairperson Juliana Cherera, IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati, nominated MP Sabina Chege and 100m sensation Ferdinand Omanyala.

Google says Kenyans looked for information about general elections, movies, education, health, sports and local and global politics.

"The trending Google Search Trends also reveal top-10 searches on general knowledge information on ‘what is and how-to’ queries on health, tech and general issues," the statement reads.
