The late Tob Cohen's wife Sarah Cohen is now a free woman after the murder charges labelled against her were dropped by DPP Noordin Haji.
Her lawyer, Philip Murgor, said his client was being accused falsely with all the evidence being fabricated.
Murgor accused former DCI boss George Kinoti of Sarah's troubles since her husband died.
He said Kinoti's refusal to cover 35 key areas in the investigations as directed by the DPP was part of the deficiencies in the investigations that caused his client unnecessary troubles.
He said Kinoti also refused to provide phone call data of certain persons of interest, including himself.
Also, he did not investigate the allegation that a will dated April 30, 2019, was forged. The will had therein details of Cohen's assets of how they were to be shared.
Additionally, the lead investigator to the murder case, John Gachomo, admitted that affidavits filed in his name contained false and fabricated evidence against Sarah and others.
Kinoti also allowed for the filing of affidavits in the name of Gabriele V Straten with forged signatures.
When contacted for a comment regarding the matter, Kinoti did not respond to our texts or calls.
