Nairobi’s major roads will be on temporary closure for the better part of Sunday November 27, 2022 owing to the autism half marathon.

According to the Kenya National Highways Authority, Uhuru Highway from Nyayo National Stadium will be closed.

The closure will take effect from 1pm to 1.30pm.

The race is organised by Technology Service Providers Association of Kenya (TESPOK).

"Motorists are advised to follow proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site," the Authority said in a statement on Thursday. 

The roads to be affected by the closure are Chiromo, Raila Odinga Way, Upperhill Links Road, Elgon Road, Matumbato Road and Masaba Road.

Others are Bunyala Road, Lower Hill Road, Haile Selassie Avenue, Kenyatta Avenue, Koinange Street, University Way, Lusaka Road and Workshop Road.

KeNHA apologised for any inconveniences that may be caused as it attempts to provide a safe and reliable road network.
