A mason who went missing for hours has been found dead at a construction site in Pangani, Nairobi.
Ugandan national Kakala Abasa, 35, was among other construction workers who were busy at a site along Muratina Road when he fell unnoticed from the twelfth floor to the third floor.
He died on the spot at the weekend.
He went missing at about midday but the body was discovered seven hours later Saturday.
Police and witnesses said he fell from where he was working to the third floor which was already complete and was not being attended to hence the longer it took for the other masons to discover his body.
The other workers went on with their work and left the site at about 6 pm.
It was after 7 pm that the house foreman who was inspecting it found Abasa's body on the third floor.
The foreman alerted the police who took the body to the mortuary.
An autopsy is being planned to establish how he died.
Preliminary findings show he landed on his head.
