Former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua and Foreign affairs CS Nominee has revealed he is worth Sh42o million.
Mutua says all this is accumulated wealth from his businesses, hotels, and apartments and “few biashara here and there’.
"Before I became Machakos Governor, my financial worth was about Ksh. 200 M and in the next 10 years, I hope to have doubled my income through my thriving business The Foreign & Diaspora Services CS nominee says his current net worth is approximately Ksh. 420 M"
Suna East MP, Junet Mohammed who was part of the interviewing panel told off Mutua asking him not to be shy when declaring his net worth.
"Do you own the hotel in Machakos?' Junet questioned
To which Mutua responded in the affirmative.
Junet insisted that if it is true that Mutua owned the hotel there is no way his net worth is Sh420 million.
"There is no way you can be worth 420 million if you own that hotel. I know we are in an era where everyone is trying to be a hustler but usiogope kusema you are rich.

Others who shared their net worth include Aden Duale who is Sh851 million richer.
"Chair, I'm worth Sh851 million including the assets I own. Including the goats, sheep, and camels that I own I even had to go and value my 231 camels somewhere in Kitui county," he said.
Former National Assembly speaker Justin Muturi revealed he is worth Sh700 million
"I'm a modest public servant with a net worth of about Sh700 million from farming and legal consultancy," Muturi said.
Last year in November, the former National Assembly Speaker revealed he had a net worth of Sh300 million.
Mudavadi is worth Sh4 billion
"If I take my investment in shares in some companies and also properties that I own I would put my net worth at about Sh4 billion.
Other nominees to be vetted on Monday include former Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi who is the nominee for Attorney General, Aden Duale (Defence), Alfred Mutua (Foreign and Diaspora Affairs), and Alice Wahome (Water, Sanitation and Irrigation).
