According to the Ministry of Health, breast cancer ranks second in all deaths caused by cancer in Kenya.
"Breast cancer accounts for over 3,107 deaths making it the 2nd leading cause of all cancer deaths in the country. 7 women die every day in Kenya as a result of breast cancer," the Ministry of Health said.
2. Pharmacy
Over 40 percent of pregnancies in Kenya are unintended; that is either mistimed or unwanted. According to a 2014 study by population council, the high number of unplanned pregnancies stems largely from an unmet need for contraceptives.
Which means that one in four married women in Kenya have an unmet need and the national modern contraceptive prevalence rate is estimated at 39 percent. Unintended pregnancies have significant implications for the health and well-being of women and children.
