Maina Kageni was left in stitches after Kenyans narrated how they were conned.
The story was based on a recent narration by Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana who was conned for 76 million.
He had been promised he would get double the cash back.
*Njoroge says he was conned of 20,000 by a 'white' guy he met on Facebook.
"I got a friend request from a white guy.
"We exchanged numbers and we talked for 3 months. One day he told me he wanted to send me a gift that I would pick up at the airport. He sent me photos of the Laptop, cash, and other gifts. I felt like Jehovah had come."
Njoroge says he believed the lie because his white friend would send photos and videos of him at an airport.
"I do not know where he was getting the photos, he told me that I would get my package in 2 days. True to his word I received a call after two days. After I sent the money I was blocked everywhere, I started sweating after realizing I was duped."
He says he no longer tolerates such requests. He lied that he was sick and people contributed to it
"After I sent the money I was blocked everywhere, I started sweating after realizing I was duped."
*Kevo says he and his friends also lost 20K to some Masai's while on a trip to the Mara.
"Have you ever been conned and ended up feeling stupid? My friends and I were on our way to Maasai Mara.
"We met some Maasai and you know they have been assumed to be lacking in intelligence. They asked us to help them read the label of a bottle containing a yellow substance. On reading the bottle it had the name 'Gold....'"
Kevo and his friends thought they had hit a jackpot not knowing they were about to be conned.
"My friends asked the Maasai to sell the stuff to us. The men settled at 20k. It was only after we left that we realized that they had sold us a padlock. The padlock had been grounded into powder form and that is why it looked like 'gold'."
