Muranga Women Rep Betty Njeri Maina has talked of her marriage and why it failed.
Speaking during an interview with Jeff Kuria, the politician shared;
"I have dated and been given character development before. I have been married before and the union bore two kids. We were young and given a chance there are things I would do differently.
Adding that; "I cannot blame myself or my ex-husband for the breakup. He is my friend and I would never want anything bad to happen to him. I have a 2-year-old boy.
"We are open to love again."
The Mt Kenya University alumni got a job with the County Government under the leadership of Sabina Chege.
"She fired me and I went and got employed by Jamleck Kamau. I stayed for 7 months without a job.
After that, I went back to Sabina Chege and worked with her until 2019," Betty remarked.
Betty says that people should know that nothing comes easy in life, advising people not to give up in life.

"He does not know me so I do not understand why people keep saying that I betrayed Uhuru Kenyatta.
"William Ruto has been supportive, he even gave me financial assistance even though he does not know me very well," Betty explained.
Betty says her decision to vie for a political seat started as a joke.
"I was to vie on a Jubilee Ticket but it started as a joke. I created a poster and shared it online and people started congratulating me.
"Whenever I planned on telling people I was joking the chance would not arise. Jubilee did not believe in me so I shifted," she said.
