A tweet purporting that Chief Justice Martha Koome praised the prayers conducted at State House on Sunday has been flagged as fake.

The Judiciary clarified that the tweet alleging that Koome had praised a decision by President William Ruto to hold the prayers was not genuine.

The fake tweet was from a Twitter handle with Koome's profile photo and the page is verified.

The tweet suggested that the Judiciary should emulate the act. "Thank you William Ruto for making State House a house of prayer. A good example for Kenya Judiciary. Kenya is a country of God," the fake tweet read.
