Azimio la Umoja deputy Presidential candidate Martha Karua will not be attending the swearing-in ceremony of William Ruto as the 5th President of Kenya.
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, Karua used her social media pages to alert her followers and supporters that she had gone to play golf.
Martha shared a photo while at the golf course saying; “My day so far” while holding a golf stick.
Despite making it known that she will not attend Ruto’s inauguration, Karua did not mention whether she received an invitation to grace the occasion or not.
On Monday, Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga said that he will not be able to attend Ruto’s swearing-in because he is out of the Country,
In a statement, Odinga acknowledged that Ruto had personally invited him to the inauguration ceremony but said he would not honor the invite since he is out of the country and that he still holds "serious concerns" about the August 9th elections in which Ruto was declared the winner.
