I was a huge fan. That is why I am doing a song review to this new track by Kus ma, the lad who used to produce most of their tracks, , one of the 3 rappers that made up Camp Mulla and in his own house.

The last time we heard about Camp Mulla, it was whe Karun (the lass that did the singing in all their songs) revealed that the group which had previously announced a reunion was no more. Taio Tripper had been releasing songs as both a solo artiste but also in collaboration with Karun and he has taken to surfing a whole new wave of his own.

Karun too has changed her genre of music to more psychadelic house and new age (Lord knows I do not know what to call the hippie music the pair have been churning out lately) but some of the tracks I had listened to sounded dope.

Then there is Shappaman. The lad had recently released a song that to me is flaming garbage:

The song sounds like he is jacking Burna Boy's wave.

But I am really happy to hear him back to doing what he is undoubtedly good at, flowing. And his delivery on the Kus Ma produced track NBTU (Nothing But The usual) is mad! Anywa, let us get into the track.

NBTU has a heavily ol skool hip hop influenced track that serves as a testament to young Kus Ma's versatility. It samples what I can only presume to have been an earlier recording of his vocals repeating the same lines for the chorus and it not only works, it puts all of Kenya's current crop of producers to shame.

"Drinking, mobbin' floating on the daily/ OG got me hazy hopin that we get this dough/ Schemin' plottin' copin on the daily/ I don Hate (not too sure about that part) a nigga lately but that's nothing but the usual"

Shappaman reminds of just why I love his delivery. His raspy voice and fluent flow go so well with with the instrumentals that you just can't hate. Simply stellar. Then again, maybe I am getting nostalgic for the good old Camp Mulla days.

Then Barak jacuzzi delivers the second verse with some really dope flow but what stannds out are the punchlines. The brother isn't playing around. On a side note, I am disappointed he didn't respond to TNT's (the guys that attempted to bash his brains in) dis.

Kus Ma comes in to complete the track and I have to say, the track is really a dope one. I will however say that the content of the track is more of a repetition of what we are accustomed to hear from the pair, weed, drinking and partying with some sprinkes of flossin' dashed in there.

All in all, this is a dope track indeed.
