2020 has been a year full of surprises you just don’t know what to expect.

For most individuals, they would make a wish for this year to start all over again for messing up with their plans but for others, this has been a victory year.

A year where dreams have certainly come true in an unexpected manner.

Here are some of the names that have risen to fame in 2020:

1. Shakilla- Let us start this list with the most talked about teenager in town. Shakilla rose to fame for all the wrong reasons after going on influencer Xtian Dela’s instagram live and publicly using a television remote controller to sexually satisfy herself a deed which has left Kenyan’s mouth wide open. She later on went ahead to reveal to Kenyans the list of Kenyan celebrities she has slept with. Some being true while others such as Khaligraph Jones and victor Wanyama being false claims which she took to the internet to apologize. Shakilla has also made headlines for apparently trespassing singer Willy Paul’s residency and twerking when naked on American singer Tory Lanez’s instagram live.

2. Azziad Nasenya- This has been the year of blessings and favor for the 20 yr old after rising to fame with the famous ‘Utawezana’ challenge. Azziad impressed Kenyans with her dancing skills and beauty after blowing the internet when wiggling her waist to Femi one and Mejja’s hit ‘Utawezana’. The tiktok queen has since amassed a large following on social media in which she earns through advertising and landed a spot in maisha magic drama series Selina and various other endorsements

3. King Kalala- With her deep and booming voice it is almost impossible for people not to notice her. King Kalala attracted Kenyans with her nature of being open about relationship issues and is constantly referred to as the female version of Andrew Kibe for her openness and daring spirit to discuss controversial topics. Kalala whose real name is Prudence has since landed a job as a radio presenter in NRG radio.

4. Elsa Majimbo- Comedian Elsa Majimbo rose to fame when her videos went viral for comic nature. The 19 yr old has made such an impact with fans appreciating her presence so much so that she won a prestigious award as African star of 2020 on E! People’s choice awards to put her on the global map.

5. Cartoon Comedian- Her voice and tonal variation alone is funny. Vanessa Akinyi popularly known as Cartoon Comedian rose to fame for her 'unaniaffect inanisuffocate' comedy clip which cracked the ribs of most Kenyans. Cartoon Comedian who revealed that she worked as a hawker after completing her secondary school studies tried to get into comedy by auditioning severally in Churchill Show without success. Her breakthrough came after she performed a short video of herself complaining to her boyfriend for conversing in English which she could not keep up with, with the famous line of ‘ too much English’.
