Last week has been tough for Tanzanian singer Ali Kiba and his family. The singer lost his father after he was admitted to the ICU for days.

The Chekecha Cheketua hitmaker has broken his silence for the first time since the news of the father's departure. He wrote:

Nawashukuru wote walioshiriki katika mazishi ya mzee wangu Na wale ambao hawakujaaliwa pia mimi Na familia yangu tumefarijika sana namuomba MUNGU ailaze roho ya marehemu mahali Pema peponi Na atupe subira kwenye kipindi hiki kigumu AMIN

Ali Kiba's sister Zabibu Kiba shared a photo of the dad and simply captioned it.

Alhamdulilah🤲🤲

Ali's brother Abdu Kiba, who is also a fast rising singer, revealed in an interview that their dad had a stroke.
