K24 news anchor Ahmed Bhalo is counting his loss after he forgot to exchange Ksh 14,000 of his old Ksh 1000 currency before September 30.

He exclaimed, "Nalia Bhalo nalia ( I weep, Bhalo, I weep)."

Adding, "Nimepoteza Ksh 14,000 kwa kusahau nina noti za zamani 1,000. (I have lost Ksh 14,000 that I had posted in my piggy bank and forgot to exchange it to for the new currency.)"

He said, "I used to save money here every month, I pray the governor gives us an extension. I speak on behalf of many Kenyans who may also have forgotten. If not this is now just paper, yaani takataka."
