Cosmetic surgery business is booming everywhere and lately, in Kenya.

Several celebrities among them socialites have undergone cosmetic surgeries and Risper Faith is the latest to go under the knife.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses a suction technique to remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms or neck.

  1. One may suffer from kidney or heart problems

2. Numbness on the affected area for a while but doesn't last for long.

3. Life threatening especially if fat gets into the blood vessels and travels to the lungs, blocking the circulation in the lungs.

4. One might die during or after the operation though death cases are minimal.

5. Allergic reactions.

6. Infections.

7. Contour irregularities.

Your skin may appear bumpy, wavy or withered due to uneven fat removal, poor skin elasticity and unusual healing. These changes may be permanent. Damage beneath the skin from the thin tube (cannula) that's used during liposuction may give the skin a permanent spotted appearance.
