Najib Balala's mother was laid to rest at Kikowani cemetery, Mombasa today. Rahma bint Saleh, died in her sleep on Wednesday at her home in Kizingo estate, Mombasa. Rahma died at age 82. Many described described Saleh as a strong woman for raising all her children after the death of her husband.

Najib Balala who is the cabinet secretary for mining, is said to be ill.
