Naivasha man electrocuted while charging phone, hand was pitch black

All witnesses in Naivasha heard were screams and then the building was plunged into darkness.

That is what preceded the death of a housing agent in Naivasha has been electrocuted while working in his office.

The body of Kamau Karenju alias ‘KK’ was found in his office at Diplomat House by members of the public who were attracted by screams.

A witness, James Kimani, said that they heard a loud scream before the section of the building was plunged into darkness.

He said they managed to access the office where they found the deceased lying on the floor dead after been electrocuted.

“It looks like KK was trying to charge his phone when the incident occurred as his hand is dark like it has been burnt,” he said on Friday.

Meanwhile, police in Naivasha are investigating a bizarre incident where the body of a three-year-old girl was found dumped along the banks of River Malewa.

The body of the smartly dressed girl was found by women fetching water along the river that is located along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

The incident left area residents in fear after it emerged that the minor did not come from the nearby KCC village and no one knew her.

According to Agatha Njeri, they first noticed a jacket and on enquiring found the minor lying on the banks of the river.

Naivasha OCPD Samuel Waweru confirmed both incidents adding that the bodies were lying at the local mortuary.
