A fire broke out at Nairobi’s Gikomba Market in the wee hours of Tuesday destroying property worth millions of shillings. The inferno whose cause is yet to be established started at around 4am and spread fast.

Firefighters and traders tried their best to contain the blaze but the usual challenge of lack of access roads slowed down their efforts.
