'He's a calm person,' Naftali Kinuthia's mother speaks after he hacked Ivy Wangeci to death

The mother of Naftali Njahi Kinuthia, the man who hacked Moi University student Ivy Wangeci to death, has finally broken her silence.

Ivy was a sixth-year student from the school of medicine.

Nancy Kinuthia, who's still in shock after her son committed such a heinous act, in an interview with KTN said;

I have never had a problem with him and I was shocked to hear that he did that. He is a calm person and you would not expect such news. I even told his father and he still cannot believe that it is Njahi who did this.

Kinuthia tried to escape on a motorbike but he was caught by irate members of the public, who gave him a thorough beating. He was luckily rescued by police and rushed to Moi Teaching Referral.

Moi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Kosgey in an interview with Citizen TV said;

Let's manage relationships because that's where the big problem currently is.

Police are investigating the matter.
