The mother of Naftali Njahi Kinuthia, the man who hacked Moi University student Ivy Wangeci to death, has finally broken her silence.
Ivy was a sixth-year student from the school of medicine.
Nancy Kinuthia, who’s still in shock after her son committed such a heinous act, in an interview with KTN said;
I have never had a problem with him and I was shocked to hear that he did that. He is a calm person and you would not expect such news. I even told his father and he still cannot believe that it is Njahi who did this.
Kinuthia tried to escape on a motorbike but he was caught by irate members of the public, who gave him a thorough beating. He was luckily rescued by police and rushed to Moi Teaching Referral.
Moi University Vice-Chancellor Prof Isaac Kosgey in an interview with Citizen TV said;
Let’s manage relationships because that’s where the big problem currently is.
Police are investigating the matter.
