Word on the street is that Nation Media Group (NMG) has terminated the contracts of more of its employees.

This comes barely a fortnight after the media organization sacked about 16 staffers, a move it says was as result of reorganization of its operations.

According to reports, two employees namely Isaac Swilah (Sports Writer) and Juliet Nabwire (Sub-Editor) were served with redundancy letters while the fate of 6 others is still unknown.

Those who have been fired are said to be members of the Kenyan Union of Journalists (KUJ) who were demanding for the implementation of a Collective Bargain Agreement (CBA).

While unveiling the new team on Saturday, January 14, NMG CEO Joe Muganda said that no one else would be fired. As such, this recent announcement has shocked many.
