A Kisii University don has been found dead in a rented apartment at Mwembe area in Kisii town.

Kisii University Human Resource manager Dr Eric Onsongo said the deceased taught Geography at the University's main campus.

"We have contacted the police to start investigations into the death," said Onsongo.

Police from Kisii have since visited the scene and took the body to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

They also took his mobile phones to begin a probe.
