The late Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe was known for his quotes.

He always knew what to say to get the maximum chuckles from his well-targeted quotes from his speeches.

A while back, Robert Mugabe commented about black South Africans failing to stand up to apartheid and oppression by the whites in their country but attacking fellow black people without hesitation.

His son, Bellarmine Chatunga Mugabe shared pearls of wisdom from his father the former president of Zimbabwe days before his death.

He was pointing out that the ongoing xenophobic attacks is a reflection of the South African self-hate.

This is what he posted on his Insta-stories.

The South African government has strongly condemned the ongoing xenophobic attacks, calling on security forces to arrest the perpetrators in a bid to curb the violence.

@CyrilRamaphosa tweeted, "I CONDEMN THE VIOLENCE THAT HAS BEEN SPREADING AROUND A NUMBER OF OUR PROVINCES IN THE STRONGEST TERMS. I’M CONVENING THE MINISTERS IN THE SECURITY CLUSTER TODAY TO MAKE SURE THAT WE KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON THESE ACTS OF WANTON VIOLENCE AND FIND WAYS OF STOPPING THEM."
