Former Kakamega County senator Boniface Khalwalwe is among the few Kenyan politicians who’ve shown off their retirement homes on social media.
His village mansion is goals.
He recently shared a photo flaunting his blue-roofed house and neatly kept home, leaving his followers wowed.
Khalwalwe had three wives, Adelaide, Josephine and Diana, but Adelaide, the first one died last week after collapsing at her home in Kakamega. She died from pulmonary hypertension.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday, Dr Khalwalwe said,
My wife developed cervical cancer in 2003. She was treated at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and recovered
He added that she collapsed on Saturday and when he tried to resurrect her, she was unconscious and didn’t respond.
She gasped her last breath in my hands during the resuscitation process,” he said.
As a cancer patient, we knew she was not very far from death, but we didn’t know she would die now from pulmonary hypertension.
