The 58th annual Grammys went down at the Staple’s Center in Los Angeles, California. The red carpet was graced by the best of the best in the global music industry, with Taylor Swift stealing the show. First of all, she was accompanied by Selena Gomez, who she called her “hot date” for the night. The two were rumored to be beefing since Tay doesn’t ever want Sel to hang out with Justin Bieber, something she has done several times.
The biggest winner of the night was rapper Kendric Lamar, who bagged five awards, including Best Rap Album for To Pimp a Butterfly and Best Rap Song for his jam “Alright”. He also happens to be US President Obama’s favorite rapper. Kendric had a record 11 nominations.
Taylor followed closely by taking home three trophies, including Album of the Year with 1989 and Record of the Year with “Blank Space.” Other notable wins include Justin Bieber’s “Where Are U Now,” which took home the Best Dance Recording award. The song was produced by Skrillex and Dipo.
Rihanna and Lauryn Hill missed out on the show due to sickness. The red carpet was LIT! Beyonce literally killed it! From Pharrell WIlliam’s appearance as a grandpa to Carrie Underwood’s simplistic look, here are the best red carpet moments:
