Murdered Dutch national Tob Cohen is expected to be buried today at a private ceremony at the Jewish cemetery in Nairobi.
A court is this morning ruling on if to allow his wife Sarah Wairimu who is in custody over the killing to attend the ceremony or not.
Wairimu has asked the court to allow her to attend the ceremony slated for this afternoon at the Jewish cemetery along Wangari Mathai Road, Nairobi.
The matter would be heard in court this morning before a ruling is made.
In a surprise move, Gabrielle Van Straten, the sister of Cohen, will not attend her late brother’s burial scheduled for today despite having been at the forefront of the funeral arrangements.
Gabrielle flew out of the country on Saturday just a day after her late brother’s will was opened.
Wairimu is currently remanded at the Lang’ata Women’s Prison as police complete investigations into her alleged involvement in the murder of her husband.
Anyhow, here is a TBT of Tob Cohen from back in 1990.
Here is another photo from back when Kibaki was President.
