Kenyan female ariste Meg C and Dennis Oliech’s ex-girlfriend has been put in an isolation center at the Kenyan-Tanzania border in Namanga as the county fights to stop the spread of Covid-19.
The Nipe hitmaker, whose real name is Yisriya Salim has been quarantined at the border in a room alone after showing signs of Covid-19.
‘It started with a mild DRY cough and sore throat,’ 22-year old narrates after testing positive for Covid-19
Meg C revealed she couldn’t travel back to the country via air because the airport in Tanzania has been closed and opted to use the road.
Meg C, who lost her husband 11 years ago, shared a series of videos from the isolation center, narrating the experience. The heartbroken mother said,
I’m stuck here. I’m asking everyone to pray for me during this difficult time BECAUSE I’m hustling for my kids. Don’t judge me for not staying at home, I’m doing all this because of my kids. I pray that Coronavirus tests negative. I have to be strong. I respect the government and people who are trying to protect us from this virus. This thing is real.
She was screened at the border and her temperature was slightly high forcing health officials to put her in isolation.
Been traveling from the 1st of March in and out of Kenya and health officials think I have coronavirus because I’m coughing a lot. My voice is gone due to coughing,’ said teary Meg C.
I’m scared and just hope I’m fine. I’m stressed up and was ready to go to my kids. I’m willingly ready to do the test and cooperate with the officials. I’m not feeling well but it doesn’t mean that I have coronavirus.
She was set to release her new song Infinity in Kenya this week but everything has been put on hold due to her health status.
